Cocoa cooperatives and SME exporters: from member plots to DDS-ready packs
End-to-end EUDR path for cocoa coops and small exporters: map member plots, keep consent, cascade gaps, and hand buyers DDS-style evidence. Other programmes stay mould and co-build only.
Cocoa cooperatives and SME exporters sit where EUDR evidence is won or lost. Members farm the plots. Buyers ask for geolocation, consent and usable packs. Remapping every season is not a strategy. This playbook walks the live EUDR open-beta path from member plots to buyer-ready DDS-style evidence. Other programmes are mentioned only as moulds you can co-build later on the same records.
Who this is for
- Cooperatives collecting from member farms
- Small and mid-size exporters who must onboard suppliers and seal lots
- Origin teams that need offline capture and Field Agents when producers have no phone
End-to-end path (EUDR live)
1. Invite the member network
Bring members into a Tracebud workspace. Import a CSV or add by hand. Assign Field Agents where phones are missing. Desk can start the same day; finishing every plot still depends on field time. Onboarding · Field App free for farmers.
2. Map plots with the producer present
Walk or draw boundaries in the Field App. Work offline where signal fails. Store consent with the record. Guides: plot-level geolocation · reliable field mapping.
3. Keep deliveries and lots on the same spine
As cocoa moves through collection and processing, link lots back to contributing plots. Identity Preservation and Segregation support chain of custody claims that are live today; CoC Mass Balance is scheduled. Concepts: batch-to-plot walkthrough.
4. Screen on real coordinates
Geospatial screening belongs on top of member plot records. It does not replace the farm visit. Position: full agri-food-chain solution.
5. Cascade buyer gaps
When an importer or brand still lacks a polygon or consent refresh, send a cascading request for that piece only. Farmer-owned evidence and cascading requests.
6. Hand off DDS-style packs
Assemble buyer-ready due diligence evidence in the Dashboard and file where the live EUDR path supports it. EUDR compliance · EUDR checklist · FAQ: DDS.
Pricing that keeps members in
Organisations that receive lots pay an access fee per tonne. Members are not charged for the Field App. That split matters in cocoa: compliance cost that hits the farm gate collapses first-mile coverage.
Other programmes: mould and co-build only
The same plots, deliveries and households can later mould toward scheme or due-diligence asks (RA, Fairtrade, organic, CSDDD, Scope 3, regen, living income). Soft claim: designed for / co-build with partners. Not live product modules today. Hub: capture once, multi-programme evidence. Collect-once field intent for schemes: RA, Fairtrade and EUDR.
